Calling all Patern Pilots! Join us at Hemet Model Masters for the Harry Gould Memorial Patern Contest March 27th - 29th, 2026.

Practice: The field closes for contest only practice on Friday March 27th at Noon.

Competition Rounds: Saturday March 28th – Sunday March 29th.

Field is open at 8:00 AM Saturday and Sunday, with pilots meeting at 8:45 – wheels up at 9:00.  The sun is an issue here in the afternoon, so we must get things started early.  2 flight lines will be used with contestant judging.  For the last 2 rounds on Sunday, we will offer the F-27 schedule for FAI.

• Classes

  Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, Masters, FAI (Silver), FAI (P-27, F-27).

Sportsman Class will be allowed to fly any AMA legal airplane, and will not be judged on staying in the “box”.

If we don’t have more than 7 sign up for Masters and FAI Silver, we will only run a Masters class. 

Awards to 3rd place in each class. 

This is an AMA sanctioned event so proof of AMA membership must be provided when registering.

$50 for all classes except Sportsman which is $30.

For the first time, we will be holding the Club Class for first time participants - $20 fee – any plane is allowed. 

Lunch will be available at the field for a nominal fee.  Sodas and water are complementary. 

Camping is allowed at the field – no hook-ups.  Shade covering over complete pit area.

As always – full size aircraft is a concern, so we will be monitoring and if there is a conflict we will ask the pilots to reduce altitude to low level until full scale leaves our immediate area.  If a new battery is needed, the pilot may land and replace.
